Chyanne Metelus is a vibrant 17-year-old senior with roots deeply connected to her Caribbean heritage. Born in Brooklyn, New York, to a mother from Trinidad and a father from Haiti, Chyanne relocated to Delaware in 2014. She is the youngest of four sisters and has always been known for her love of fashion, hair, and dressing up. Her outgoing personality and ability to make friends effortlessly earned her the title of a true social butterfly.

Growing up, Chyanne faced challenges with embracing her dark brown skin. Despite unkind comments, her mother instilled in her the values of self-love and confidence, which she cultivated through cheerleading and later track. These experiences shaped her understanding of inner beauty and fueled her passion for helping young girls discover their own. Today, she uplifts others by offering hair styling services, motivation, and encouragement.

Chyanne’s love for her Caribbean roots is evident in her enthusiasm for Trinidadian culture. She cherishes performing in kiddies' carnival and modeling in vibrant costumes. Her favorite Caribbean dishes and drinks, like mauby and sorrel, keep her connected to her heritage.
