Dejah Lucas
Dejah “Cleo” Lucas is a driven 24-year-old sophomore at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she is pursuing a degree in Forensic Psychology with aspirations of earning an MBA in the future. Born to Antiguan parents, Dejah’s journey in pageantry began at the young age of nine in Antigua. Her parents have been pivotal influences in her life—her father, a farmer, and her mother, a successful business owner who raised Dejah as a teenager. Additionally, her stepfather has provided unwavering love and support, shaping Dejah’s resilience and determination.
Dejah wears many hats as a poet, self-taught herbalist, cosmetic formulator, and model. As the eldest of four siblings, she has honed her leadership skills and sense of responsibility. Her dedication to community service is evident in her impactful work across the globe. In Costa Rica, she replanted mangroves to support the environment, and in New Orleans, she contributed to rebuilding a home for an elderly couple and packaged meals for low-income families. A proud Girl Scout alumna, Dejah achieved the prestigious Gold Award after completing over 80 hours of service, including creating a website to educate about autism. Since 2015, she has remained dedicated to serving the autism community and is currently working toward becoming a certified support broker.
Dejah’s modeling career has also flourished, with appearances on the front page of Rare Fashion Magazine, walking in New York Fashion Week shows, and collaborating with prominent brands and photographers. Looking ahead, Dejah aspires to establish a business that empowers young women to embrace their authentic selves and reclaim autonomy in today’s social media-driven world. Known for her ambition, passion, and work ethic, Dejah is committed to creating meaningful change and believes, “The sky isn’t the limit when man has made footprints on the moon.”
